Your worries are understandable. I am now terrified my husband is going to die. He will be fine and you will be fine! Good luck at the doctors, I will be thinking of you.

99% of the things we worry about NEVER happen. Don't worry, it only gives you ANXIETY. Deep breaths. Think positive. ((((hugs)))) Stay in the NOW. The NOW is the only thing you have control over. You can NOT control the past nor the future. I'm sending you lots of good health vibes. You should get a family history of ANY medical issues to give to your own doctor. NOone in my family lives pat 60, so I only have about 8 years left. I plan to beat those odds.

OK. Firstly, your cold and flu symptoms are probably...umm...a cold or flu. Secondly, your dad being a man and all, he'd probably been having other symptoms which he'd been studiously ignoring and it was probably one of those which contributed to the organ failure. When L's mum died (also of multiple organ failure), she was 'well' one minute and gone the next, after only saying that she 'felt a bit breathless'. However, she also had fibromyalgia (sp?), rheumatoid arthritis and a shit-load of other stuff which she kept pretty damn quiet about, so she wasnt as 'well' as she'd have everyone believe. She also smoked like a chimney.

Take a couple of deep breaths, take it easy for a couple of days until you can get to the docs, and make them test you for everything you can possibly think of. Im sure you'll be fine. ((hug)) s x
