I’ve finally splashed out & purchased myself a new lap-top, well a netbook to be more precise & I’m hoping that by having my own it will encourage me to write more, as I appreciate that I have not been as disciplined as I would have liked.
To be entirely honest these last few months have been not great for us here in the LannyLee household, however now, well in this last month ,things have been looking up & I’m really hopeful now that both N & I can move forward & try and enjoy being married (not long now, only 85 days & counting) without additional stresses that have been so prominent recently, mostly money, but I’m sure we’re not the only ones, I don’t really want to dwell too much on that other stuff, but things are getting better and once the wedding’s over that will be one less stress to worry about.
Moving on, we’ve changed the wedding yet again, due to some XXL sulking from the older member of the family, who couldn’t quite wrap their heads around having our reception split into two & in two locations, we’ve decided to get married at the registry office as planned, but then to go on to the club for the reception which is now a semi-formal sit down meal, but as a hot buffet so we’ll still have the nice tables with centre pieces etc, but people can just help themselves, we’ve decided on lasagne & beef stroganoff & rice, nice & relaxed – well that’s the plan anyway.
We’ve settled on balloons for decorations instead of flowers, as they’re a lot cheaper and fit in with our semi-formal theme, we’re still having flowers in the traditional bits, buttonholes, corsages & bouquets etc, but we’re hoping the balloons with give a more fun feel, we’re having a little bride & groom made out of balloons as well for either side of the cake as we’re not going to be having cake toppers.
I do have some very exciting news to share, N & I are parents…….well sort of, Saffi has had kittens, 4 of them. Three tabbies & one black, they’ve just celebrated their six week birthday & are completely ruining the house, I’ll post some pictures soon once I can get the camera to stop sulking & speak to the computer, (I think we uninstalled the software by mistake, so it might just need some jiggery-pokery, fingers crossed) We’ve named them, well just for us of course, the nice people who are adopting them can give them their own names, but just for us we’ve temporarily christened them, Yoda, Chunky, Monkey & Bella, well to be honest Bella will keep her name as we’ve decided to keep her, she’s the little black one, named after Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter, as we think she’s going to be a little witch!
I think that’s enough for now, I’m going to stop now & go back to watching The Da Vinci Code, not as good as the book granted, but Tom Hanks is very dishy in it.
